What carpet can do for you

If you’re looking for a material with which to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, you’ve definitely made a good decision in choosing carpet. It has great characteristics for family gatherings, friendly get-togethers, or just living in general. From short and dense, to plush and elegant, you’ll have a variety of options to choose from for your own home.

To choose the perfect fiber for your carpet, make sure to take into honest consideration your average everyday traffic levels. If you have pets or children, or frequently have guests in your home, you’ll probably need something rated for a busy household. However, in rooms where traffic is much less, you can get away with a fiber that doesn’t stand up to foot traffic well and still have great results.

Some great benefits are waiting for you when you choose this material. You’ll get excellent noise reduction, even between floors, which is perfect for homes with children. It can also reduce echo and the click of walking associated with hard surface flooring. At the same time, it can offer heat retention which can really pay off if the weather turns chilly.

You can also ask about benefits such as fibers with built-in stain resistance, hypoallergenic fibers, and the safety that comes with having soft surface flooring in your home.

Benefits in hardwood flooring

The amazing lifespan of hardwood flooring is one of the things that draw many homeowners to this material in the first place. Reaching 50 years with ease, it is not at all unheard of to reach 100 years or more with the proper care and maintenance. One step inside any historic building will be all the proof you’ll need, after seeing that lifespan for yourself.

Refinishing is a procedure that helps these floors reach that expected life span. After a few decades, your wood floors will begin to show the signs of everyday wear and tear. When this happens, you can schedule them to be refinished, which strips away all that wear, bringing them back to a like-new finish. At this point, you are even free to choose a new stain color and finish type. Some finishes, such as distressed or hand scraped can even help to mask signs of wear. This gives you more time between refinishing projects and can even extend that already wonderful lifespan by a few more years.

It should be noted that solid hardwood flooring can never be installed in below-grade spaces such as basements. For these rooms, we suggest engineered flooring, or even a nice vinyl-core luxury vinyl plank or tile.

Ceramic & porcelain facts and benefits

Both ceramic & porcelain offer a luxurious look and feel in your home, even though they can offer drastically different appearances. For those who prefer a minimal and all natural look, porcelain offers just that, with the natural clay appearance showing through a simple clear glaze. Ceramic, usually covered by brightly colored glazes, can offer a highly artistic appearance and either can be used to create amazing mosaics. You will get the unique look you desire with ease in this product line.

These products make an excellent addition to kitchens, bathrooms, and foyers, as they are highly water resistant. Being able to withstand these elements also means its super easy to keep clean and well maintained with very little effort or supplies.Making sure to keep dirt and debris swept or vacuumed up daily is a good starting place, followed by a simple damp mop to clean up any messes.

For installation purposes, we advise a professional installation team. This helps to make sure you only pay for the amount of flooring used in your home and protects against breakage and chipping that can often occur when this product is installed by a novice installer. Furthermore, some manufacturers will void their product warranty if it’s not installed by a professional installation team.
